Old Glory Honor Flight
Appleton Airport is honored to partner with Old Glory Honor Flight to fly area World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans to see their memorials in Washington D.C. The airport hosts 3 or 4 Honor Flights each year, and provides ground support to the Honor Flight held during EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh.
Appleton Airport is proud to have assisted Old Glory Honor Flight in accomplishing 44 missions so far. Since Old Glory Honor Flight’s first mission in 2009, Appleton Airport has seen over 3,500 veterans take their tour of honor, and hosted over 50,000 families, friends and community supporters during the evening ‘Welcome Home’ events.
