Appleton International Airport proudly partners with Fox Valley Humane Association (FVHA), a local animal shelter and resource center that has been serving animals in the Fox River Valley since 1891 and remains an area leader in animal care, welfare, and education. Here at the airport, we work with FVHA’s certified Therapy Dog team to help provide comfort and joy to our passengers as they travel through Appleton. It is not uncommon to see members of the FVHA Therapy Dog team in and around the airport terminal, offering support and companionship to travelers preparing to fly.
Studies have shown that interacting with a friendly pet can help reduce stress, release calming endorphins, and improve overall health. We thank our therapy dog partners for their continued dedication to making ATW the most comfortable, traveler-friendly airport in NE Wisconsin.
